It was a private group tour.  The participants were University students and Professor from Lille in France. Personally I knew professor as a friend. When I visited in Paris few years ago, he was so kind to guide me to the Aalto architecture “Maison Carre” by his car. So this time, I added special tea ceremony after the tour as my hospitality. Also, I invited my friend, Manuel Tarditz, who is architect working in Japan for long time as a member of MIKAN.

Tour was starting from SL square in Shimbashi Station. It is important for them to know the Japanese businessman’s culture in Shimbashi area. Because the concept of Nakagin Capsule Tower by Kisho Kurokawa was “Hideout for Businessman”.

We moved to the next building《Shizuoka Press and Broadcasting Center》by Kenzo Tange and saw it from the street.  It is easy to understand the principle and basic structure of “Metabolism Architecture”.

Then, we went to see《Nakagin Capsule Tower Building》by Kisho Kurokawa. Before entering the building, we saw the whole appearance from over the highway.
