This was a really amazing, and what felt like once in a lifetime opportunity to explore these famous capsule apartments. Nahoko was so knowledgeable and taught the group so much about metabolism architecture. We walked around the city looking at many examples before entering the capsules. The time flew by because we had a really friendly group. Also we got to take so many photos! I recommend this tour 100%.

Nahoko is a very talented historian and tour guide! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the Japanese Metabolism movement and Kurokawa’s work, and her personal connection to the building and its history is both fascinating and inspiring. We knew nothing about architecture when we started, but left with a huge appreciation for the area’s unique history. Highly recommended!
